Professional Experience
Judicial Service
​Judge Gordon Leech has served as a Circuit Court Judge for the Washington County Circuit Court, Branch II since August 2025. He presides over all types of matters that come to the circuit court, including criminal, civil, family, probate, juvenile and other matters.
Military Service
Judge Leech served in the United States Marine Corps on active duty from 1990 to 1995. As a Judge Advocate, he served as a military prosecutor and Base Labor Counsel at Camp Pendleton, California. Following active duty, Judge Leech served in the drilling reserves.
Criminal Law
Judge Leech has experience from both the prosecution and the defense sides of criminal cases. As a United States Marine Corps Judge Advocate, he served as a prosecutor in military court-martials involving all levels of criminal offenses. He later served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office from 2022 to 2025, handling felony and misdemeanor jury trials, traffic and forfeiture offenses, juvenile matters, and appeals. His defense work included representing clients at all levels of criminal proceedings in Wisconsin courts, including Washington County.
Civil Law & Litigation
​Judge Leech has extensive civil litigation experience, particularly in employment law and consumer protection. His practice included representing employers and employees in discrimination, wage and hour, workers compensation, unemployment, and contract disputes. He also represented individuals in consumer cases involving deceptive practices, identity theft, credit reporting issues, and fraudulent transactions.
Bar Admissions
Judge Leech is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and before multiple federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Education and Training
Judge Leech earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Pennsylvania State University. He completed advanced trial advocacy training at the Naval Justice School and previously held Florida Bar certifications in labor and employment law and court mediation.
