Judge Gordon Leech brings decades of experience to the bench. His judicial philosophy comes from his personal and professional experiences that include serving in the United States Marine Corps, years of legal experience handling both criminal and civil matters including work as a State Prosecutor, taking appointments from the State Public Defenders Office, and representing people in employment and consumer protection matters. These roles have given him a broad and practical understanding of the law and the parties that come before the court.

Judge Leech is strongly committed to judicial integrity. He is not a member of a political party and believes partisan politics has no place in the courtroom or judicial elections.

With his extensive experience in and out of the courtroom, his diverse legal experience in the many areas of law that come before the court, and personal experience as a longtime Washington County resident, business owner, and father, he understands how judicial decisions affect the parties in court and the community. He knows that the community will only respect the court when people are treated respectfully and judges make decisions based on the rule of law without any bias or favoritism to any party or other player in the judicial system.
