Vote for Judge Gordon Leech

Gordon Leech has been serving Washington County as a Circuit Court Judge since Judge James K. Muehlbauer retired in 2025. Judge Leech now seeks your vote to retain him on the bench in the 2026 Spring Election.

Before joining the bench, Judge Leech served the State of Wisconsin as an Assistant District Attorney/State Prosecutor in Fond du Lac County. He brings to the court more than 30 years of legal experience. He is the only candidate that has served our country, handled criminal cases as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney, and has represented both businesses and people in a wide range of civil matters.

Judge Leech is a father and stepfather to six children, ranging in age from 14 to 26. He is a Washington County resident and has lived here the majority of the time since 2004. He also owned his own business in Washington County.

Judge Leech has the judicial, professional, and life experiences necessary to exercise sound judgment in the important legal matters brought before the court. He is committed to accountability, the rule of law, and community safety.

Because Judge Leech firmly believes that partisan politics have no place in the courtroom, he is not a member of a political party and has not sought endorsements from politicians, political parties, or special interest groups. By keeping politics and special interests out of his campaign and the courtroom, he shows his commitment to judicial integrity.

Eric Toney, District Attorney Fond du Lac County

"I hired Gordon as a State Prosecutor knowing his work ethic, competence and integrity. He proved to be an incredible asset, having handled a large criminal caseload. I trusted Gordon with the most significant types of cases, including homicide, arson, financial crimes, domestic violence, drugs, and violent crimes. Gordon proved himself repeatedly in jury trials with his knowledge of the law and trial skills. I know he will serve the people of Washington County with honor as a Circuit Court Judge, just as he served our country in the U.S. Marines."

James K. Muehlbauer, Judge (Ret.), Washington County Circuit Court

“Gordon Leech is a great attorney with over 30 years of experience and served in the U.S. Marines. As a prosecutor, he is known to be honest, hard working, and willing to take tough cases to trial. I am confident that Gordon will serve Washington County well as a judge of the circuit court.”

DA Toney's statement to the Governor's Office for the announcement of Judge Leech's appointment to the bench is not a campaign endorsement
